This Intensive Training Program Includes:
1 in-person training event + 1 follow-up sessions = 6.0 CME credits.
Clinicians who complete 5.0 CME hours and utilize the consultation line twice will also receive a Certificate of Completion from Project TEACH.
This program will enhance a primary care provider’s skills to assess, treat and manage mental health concerns in perinatal patients. The focus is to provide helpful tools and treatment strategies for ob/gyn’s, family practice, pediatric and psychiatric clinicians to utilize within their practice. This interactive program includes the full-day day, in-person training and a one-hour, virtual follow-up session. All learning modules are presented by Project TEACH’s expert team of reproductive psychiatrists.
Project TEACH is funded by the New York State Office of Mental Health and all services and events, such as this intensive training, are offered at no-cost to clinicians in New York State.
Epidemiology, Screening and Assessment of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADS)
Suicide Risk Assessment and Management in Obstetric and Family Medicine Practices
Psychotherapeutic and Pharmacologic (antidepressants and benzodiazepine) Approaches to Perinatal Depression and Anxiety
Assessment and Management of Bipolar Disorder During the Perinatal Period
At the conclusion of this program, learners will be able to/have:
New York State primary care and family practice physicians, obstetricians/gynecologists, pediatricians and psychiatrists; as well as, midwifes, psychologists, nursing professionals, social workers, residents, doulas and mental health clinicians working with primary care, pediatric or ob/gyn practices.

Attendees of this intensive training are encouraged to participate in the follow-up learning session. This is a virtual, Zoom interactive event. Those who register and/or attend the November 4th program will be sent the link to join this follow-up session.
