Dr. Ramanathan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She also serves as the Medical Director of SUNY Upstate Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, Division Chief of Maternal Mental Health and Research Director for Suicide Prevention. In addition to teaching medical students and residents, Dr Ramanathan is involved in multiple community-based activities, developing and leading multi-tiered programs to improve access to mental health in the community. She has received funding from the NIH, SAMHSA, NARSAD, and Health Foundation of Western and Central NY for her work.
