About

Wanda Fremont, M.D. is Professor of Psychiatry and Family Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. She has been on the faculty at SUNY since 2001, and in the past was training director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program and Division Chief and Vice Chair of Child Psychiatry. Dr. Fremont completed her psychiatry residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University and her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at SUNY. She is board certified in Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has also worked as a consultant child psychiatrist for the past13 years at Elmcrest Childrenā€™s Center, a Residential Treatment Center in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Fremont has been on member of the NY State Office of Mental Health Project TEACH CAPPC steering committee since 2010.

Dr. Fremontā€™s professional interest include child and adolescent mental health, multicultural issues, family systems, post traumatic stress disorder, and collaboration between psychiatry and primary care medicine.
